#SNOW QUEEN
Are you a sporty and practical girl? Do you like skiing and breathing the pure air of the snow-capped mountains with your love?
Then you are probably dreaming about being a Queen of Snow this Valentine’s! But, ops, the “Queen of Snow” already exists! Her name is not “Elsa”… but Mikaela Shiffrin! Superfast, supermodel and four-time world champion! She’s amazing! I’m following her during this week on tv, even if I’m cheering for the Italian team!
Sporty winter queens, I hope you love my pretty tips about your romantic Saint Valentines! Let me know!
Olympic Bra
So, you are practical and you hate lace or complicated bras! But, please, use at least red for Saint Valentine’s! This year, sport style is very trendy, also for fashion-addicted.. The combination between lace and big logo stripes is a must have.. almost in neon colors! But, if it is too much for you, chose a nice and comfortable Tommy Hilfiger one! The olympic bralette has also lateral cut outs that add a captivating touch! …Remember, the red one!;)
Snowdrops
The “milk flower of the snow” is the latin name of the snowdrops. These cute little flowers are the first flowers that bloom in the last weeks of winter! They flourish a lot in British woodlands, making the most of the light before the spring arrives.. Snowdrops are a February bulb, they are resilient to all weathers and I think they are perfect to give at Saint Valentine's! If you give bulbs, they will multiply year on year and you can enjoy them in the future. What could be more romantic!
Ti Amo Jumper
I was looking for cute big winter sweaters and then I found this one! It belongs to Alberta Ferretti and it definitely speaks of love! A trendy light blue jumper in wool and cashmere, inlaid on the front with the “Ti Amo” in red. The cutest thing is that it has an oversize fit and it can also be worn by your man/woman!
Hot Chocolate
If you are on a white holiday, or at home, laying near the warm fireplace, while it’s snowing outside.. a nice hot chocolate to taste in cute King-and-Queen of the Snow” mugs is what you need! No iced or fruit cake slices, just two greedy hot chocolates that warm your iced hearts up!
Love Snow Globe
I had a WOW idea today… Have you ever made a snow globe in your childhood? Putting in a handmade snow globe your engaging ring, or a token of love, like a cute plastic figurine that looks like your love, or simply a heart shape, is a magical gift for snow-addicted lovers! I think it’s simple, but very enchanting and poetic!
I’ll give you everything that you need:
Materials
- Small glass jar
- token of love
- glycerin (it’s to make the glitter float better)
- white / blue glitter
- Water
- superglue
Instructions
- Place and stick your token of love to the inside of the jar lid.
- Fill your jar with water, glycerin and 1-2 teaspoons of glitter.
- Screw the lid on the jar
- …and tip it up and down to make it snow! Awwww
Do you feel romance in the air? Shops are full of little hearts and love thoughts.. It's almost Valentine's Day!
You girls in love, have you already decided on the outfit to wear? Already thought about original and trendy gifts? Do you love flowers?
Well, not all the girls are the same.. Because a sportier one prefers a winter holiday instead of flowers, and a posh can’t be satisfied with two chocolates.. So I had fun imagining several Valentine girls, giving each of them trendy tips about lingerie, flowers, gifts, or original ideas! Every day a different Valentine ... And you? What Valentine are you?
Have fun and baci baci baci!
#JANE AUSTEN
I must start with the icon of romance: Jane Austen! Our beloved writer of Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion... How many have empathized with Elisabeth? How many have dreamed of Mr. Darcy? .. This old-fashioned world of sweet conversations, love letters, walks in blooming gardens and dances in Victorian castles… does not make us dream yet?
If you are a kind, ironic and affable Valentine soul like Jane, these are my tips!
Chambray Bralette
A very romantic lingerie with two-toned shimmer stretch galloon lace in chambray!
Light, decorative and comfortable at the same time! This bralette in light blue lace is a Savage X lingerie created by Rihanna!
Old fashioned Roses
Flowers are very important for you! You knows their fragrances, their symbols and, like a real Jane Austen’s character, you are dreaming about living in a Cottage in Hampshire and passing the day by picking flowers in your garden and wearing them as garlands on your head or around your neck.. So romantic!
Yours is an old-fashioned roses, with lilac and fragrant herbs, informally bound with a romantic ribbon. Delicate and pure!
P.S.: Do you know that in the 200th year since her death, a “Jane Austen” rose was launched celebrating the most loved novelist?
This wonderful ring actually belonged to Jane Austen and it was purchased by Jane Austen’s House Museum in Chawton, Hampshire. The turquoise gemstone was quite popular in the Regency, when routs from Egypt ensured this bright blue stone. It is not known who gave Jane the ring, but it beautifully reflects Jane’s kind and modest soul.
A turquoise ring is the perfect gift for romantic and not materialistic girls.
Victorian Cake
If you have the same taste of Queen Victoria, this is your favourite cake! The traditional English “Victorian Sponge Cake”: two sponge cakes sandwiched together, filled with raspberry jam and sweet cream cheese, dripped with raspberries (or hearts?) that add a touch of sour, and sprinkled with caster sugar…. So familiar, easy to make, and always delicious! Recipe by Ginger Jane
Valentine Puzzle Purse
Before there were teddy bears and boxes of chocolate, love letters were offered! And a really intimate and playful Valentine was the “Puzzle Purse”, an origami-like folded paper that has been used by young girls during Saint Valentine as token of love… Is there something more romantic and creative?
You can easily create your own Puzzle Purse by folding a paper and adding a token of love in the centre, like a decorated heart, a sweet message or a dry flowers, a drop of perfume.. Be creative and kind!
